L'utilisation des 'foreshadowings' par George R.R. Martin

Et bien, je plante ma graine, mais je fais un tour de passe-passe littéraire : pendant que je plante la graine d'une main, mon autre main vous fait de grands signes et vous distrait avec des jeux de mots ou autre chose juste sous vos yeux, alors que la graine est plantée dans le fond du décor. Alors j'espère avoir bien planté ma graine, que la préfiguration est là, mais que peut-être vous ne le remarquerez pas, parce qu'elle est entourée de beaucoup d'autres choses.” George R.R. Martin

___L'une des qualités de l'écriture de GRRM est la façon dont il laisse des indices sur les futurs événements de ses livres par des jeux de mots, des parallèles, des 'foreshadowings'... Souvent, on ne se rend compte que tout ces indices étaient là, juste sous notre nez, qu'au bout de la deuxième ou troisième relecture. Quelques exemples ? Du coup, les citations/exemples utilisées resteront en VO, puisque souvent la traduction française fait perdre l'importance de l'indice en question.
